The TOWR is an entirely unsupported race around the perimeter of Texas and is intended for racers who are experienced with being on the road supporting themselves with their own resources and and what they can find for along the route. There are no required checkpoints or designated rest periods on course. Racers have up to 20 days to complete the approximately 2500-mile course.

Eight full laps of the Glen Rose time trial course, for a Texas-sized double century.
The Natchez Trace 444, often referred to as simply “The 444”, runs the length of the Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville, Tennessee to Natchez, Mississippi. The Natchez Trace National Park is 444 miles long and is known as the narrowest National Park in the US. It runs the entire length of the Natchez Trace Parkway. During The 444 riders will encounter: beautiful scenery, great pavement, armadillos, wild turkeys, white tail deer, possibly a javalina, changing fall foliage + no stop signs, no traffic lights and no turns. The 444 is the only RAAM qualifier that is not a race.
The route leaves Kokernot Park and heads to Study Butte. Then it heads to Big Bend National Park taking in both the Ross Maxwell Scenic road and the Chisos Basin Climb. The route exits the park toward Marathon before heading back to Alpine. The racers complete the 383 mile challenging route by completing the McDonald Observatory scenic loop.The 383 Anton Chigurh is a RAAM qualifying race
