24 Hour Recumbent Trike Virtual Record Ride with 10 Embedded Records

Caleb Cline started at 10:05 am PST on 20 December 2025 and finished the following day at 10:05 am PST on 21 December 2025. I set up in one of my team Rusty Dogs of War sponsors warehouses. They helped us with Race Across America for team kits and shirts so I told them I would repay them with sweat equity by the end of 2025.

I wanted to bring awareness to multiple different issues. The first being breaking mental barriers of what is “impossible” to which I have started a podcast called I’m 1% Possible on Youtube. I interviewed 4 different people about overcoming trauma and adversity while I was overcoming adversity. The second was to promote Controlling the Controllables especially during what for most is considered a difficult time of year during the holiday season. I personally have struggled with it for years and until recently haven’t enjoyed it. Lastly, I rode on Zwift to promote equality and awareness for para athletes world wide and Zwift committed to getting a recumbent trike on the platform in 2026.

I connected my Custom ICE VTX Recumbent Trike to a Garmin Tac X Neo 2T which Zwift sent me to ensure preparation and accuracy of data as a secondary source was top notch. For primary power data I used my Garmin Duel Sided power pedals and Garmin 1050 computer to store the pedal data.

I drank Custom Blended Infinit the entire time approximately 10,000 calories worth mixed with some bananas and Rice Krispie Treats also.

I also tracked my fluid loss through urine which I can handle while I pedal due to the reclined seating position and a special reservoir with hose attachment that I use specifically for virtual/indoor training and racing. I excreted about 4 gallons of fluid during the event.

The best and most rewarding part was talking to several high-level individuals, 3 of which are veterans and friends and the other being Matthew Lefthand the current WUCA upright record holder who inspired me to do this ride in the first place. I know several of these individuals shared struggles and challenges they have overcome for the first time publicly and for that I am honored to be trusted with that.
