Vertigo Challenge - 12 hours of Pensacola will test even the best of endurance cyclist with not only physical endurance but mental endurance. Starting at 7:00 AM cyclist will take to the Five Flags Speedway, a half mile banked track to turn as may laps as possible within the 12 hour time limit. The 1/2 mile track will be fast with 15 degree banking in the turns and 9 degree banking on the straightaways. A race over the width of Ireland, from west to east coasts... and back again. Transversing the island of Ireland in September is a magical experience. Riders and crew will sail past the golden strands of Inch beach and through canopies of leaves on ancient roadside trees. Age old castles and quintessential riverside villages nestled in Irish landscape wait patiently for your arrival, as do the mountains of Wicklow. We feature a non drafting 24 hour RAAM qualifier race and a drafting 12 hour race, along with a 100 Mile Race. A non competitive century ride is also an option for those looking to enjoy a more leisurely pace. The 26 mile loop will take you through rural areas of Beaufort County.
