A popular and highly competitive event, run in the flat desert east of San Diego, CA. The course runs on an 18mi, mostly-flat loop, changing to a shorter loop for the last portion of the available time. The event often fills, so registration as early as possible is advised. (Note, while the name of this event includes the wording as world championship, it is not sanctioned as such by WUCA and the bonus points associated with that status do not apply.)
We feature a non drafting 24 hour RAAM qualifier race and a drafting 12 hour race, along with a 100 Mile Race. A non competitive century ride is also an option for those looking to enjoy a more leisurely pace. The 26 mile loop will take you through rural areas of Beaufort County. We are located in the coastal region of North Carolina. This is an extremely flat course! It is the perfect venue for riders that are self supported. The Miami12hour is a WUCA sanctioned 12 hour event. Competitors ride as many miles as they can in 12 hours. Event starts at Black Point Park and Marina. Awards will be given in gender and age groups for singles, tandem, recumbent and HPVs The Miami12hour begins at Black Point Park and Marina with 3 laps of the Short Loop(4.4 miles each) of the South District Waste Water Treatment Plant. TIME TRIAL is the individual or team time trial on the road on a 43.8 km route characterized by climbs, long straights, fun ups and downs and two snags that will make the selection. The race, by the will of the organizing committee, is dedicated to the memory of Renzo Campaner, with the desire to keep alive the memory of a great enthusiast as well as the excellent ACSI Cycling guide of the province of Treviso.
