Grossglockner-Bike-Challenge Heiligenblut/Austria, at the finish on top of the Franz-Josephs-Höhe 2369 m, with the Grossglockner behind me. Powerman Zofingen/Switzerland, Long Distance Duathlon World Championships with a 150 km 3600 m altitude gaining bike-split, running 30 k afterwards: look at my old-school, 15 years old Aluminium Bianchi bike, the oldest bike in the grid! No Aerobar or drop-shaped helmet… Only myself is older. My first 1200k (Boston-Montreal-Boston), highest mileage in the UMCA Year-Rounder, Capron RAAM Qualifier, organizing randonneuring events in Colorado, including the Last Chance 1200k and the High Country 1200k ... and riding with ultra friends - sharing the fun and suffering over those many long hours.

Meeting and making new friends while racing and going for records all over the world. Ultramarathon cyclists and those persons interested enough in it to crew or officiate are really special people well worth getting to know. Winning the 2010 UMCA World Cup at age 65 (overall regardless of age) and 20 or more lesser championships.
