The 1000 mile immediately leaves the QC7 and heads to Ft. Davis, Marfa and Presidio before it takes in one of the most scenic roads in America. Twisting, turning, up, down, find those little gears as the route snakes the Rio Grande. At any given point you are a stone’s throw from Mexico. Then head into Big Bend, Castolon and the Chisos Basin. And let’s not forget the eerie and remote La Linda road that heads to the end of America. Go ahead and take in Sanderson, Dryden, the Davis Mountains and you have yourself one heck of a RAAM Qualifying 1000 miles. 48K+ feet of vertical climbing and 48K+ feet of thrilling descents.
