Ride Report:
Since I started this WUCA-record-activities in the 2013 to crossing Switzerland,
I learned a lot and improved more and more techniques and details. So were the first
records driven during by day, were the following night exercises with the much
better conditions of no traffic and less wind. Various athletes broke the records,
everything has an end, if you believe in an end. Why not record today? Time and
age is not important, only joy counts, and whatever you do, do it with joy.
I love to give my all and discover new spheres.
For this record, I planned to set the first time in the age-group over 50, if
everything fits together, I aimed for the fastest time over all categories. The
preparation and the team were so optimal that this target did not seem unrealistic.
Over 17’000 kilometers of training I completed this year as preparation. Perhaps
the compulsion for the weather to play along? Anyway, I had tailwind nearly on the
entire way and otherwise absolutely perfect conditions. Pains come after, there is
plenty of time for processing …
I thank my whole team, my coach Turi for his attitude towards every race, go with
the strategy „start quickly – drive through fast – finish strong“
