5 – At the start the temperature outside was 13 degrees, rain. Literally after the start the rain stopped . Rugged wind during the whole record attempt but almost always with a more or less positive component and apart from some exercise balance in the gulf about Genoa, I’d say everything right. The crossing of Genoa and the entrance to Rome from the coast were experiences beyond tolerable.
6 – After Andorra and San Marino now it’s time for Vatican City. With Liechtenstein in the near future, the puzzle of connecting all the European micro-states will be done.
7 – Nothing special. Regular road bike with aero bars 35mm low profile wheels.
8 -Food: Ensure, drinks: sis tablets + carbo
9 – The best thing about the distance was when I arrived at St. Peter’s Square. The sacred walls keep their secrets and inside the square the sensations are completely different, words cannot describe them. it’s something special. 10.
10 – The hardest part was after 200 km + overcoming the Monte Merelle pass
11 – Nothing unusual happened along the route.
