DESCRIPTION:The Douglasxtrail sports project was launched in 2017 under the name NDUT\, which stands for Norman Douglas Ultra Trail. The route takes its name from the travel writer Norman Douglas\, who in 1900 set out to explore the areas beyond the city of Naples. He fell in love with Calabria\, a land rich in hospitality\, culture and traditions. He wrote the world’s most important travel book on Calabria\, called Old Calabria. One hundred years later\, our organisation has reconstructed the route\, transforming it into a 1\,280 km bike trail. From 2025\, the project will be transformed with a new\, simpler and more sporty name: DouglasXtrail. Not only will the name change\, but the event will also be enriched with a weekend of entertainment in the area\, as not all sports enthusiasts can stay away for many days. In this area\, we are promoting a 24-hour race\, which aims to create strong involvement in the national territory but also a great opportunity for an international audience to discover the beauty of the Sila National Park. People coming from far away will be supported in visiting the area on the days outside the race. The organisation will provide full support and hospitality.

Ride virtually flat\, low traffic roads while you ride the 30 mile loop during the day. The 30-mile route will go from New Ebenezer Retreat Center to the sleepy little city of Clyo and back. With hardly any trunks and low traffic you will enjoy the peace and serenity of South Georgia in the last week of summer. If you are  24-hour rider\, there is also a 6-mile night loop so you will only be at a max 3 miles from the start-finish. It also loops from the New Ebenezer Retreat Center to a large traffic circle and back to a nice 3-lane wide dead-end for 2 easy turns.

DESCRIPTION:ULTRACYCLING RACE TIME TRIAL \n  \nThe Time Trial of Lake Santa Croce is a unique cycling event that takes place around the magnificent shores of Lake Santa Croce\, in the Venetian Prealps. The course of the race winds along the scenic roads that embrace the lake\, giving participants a spectacular scenery as they face the challenge against time. \nThe perimeter of Lake Santa Croce measures about 15 kilometers\, offering a perfect circuit for this resistance challenge. Cyclists can choose from three duration options: 6 hours\, 12 hours or 24 hours. A non competitive century ride is also an option for those looking to enjoy a more leisurely pace.\nThe 26 mile loop will take you through rural areas of Beaufort County. We are located in the coastal region of North Carolina. This is an extremely flat course! It is the perfect venue for riders that are self supported. You are allowed to park your vehicle inside the secure “Bus” parking lot. This is what serves as the Start/Finish line\, you will pass by the time check after each lap. So feel free to set up your supplies for the day. There is a grassy area that you can set up a canopy for your crew as well. On site setup is to begin no earlier than 5am on day of event and must be removed by 10am the following morning. Online registration is available at BikeReg.com.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the fifth edition of the Tip 2 Tip Nova Scotia! \nThe Tip 2 Tip is a 1000km (or slightly more)\, single-stage\, self-supported\, endurance ride from one end of Nova Scotia to the other. The ride is done solo or in pairs\, and riders have 5-days to complete the route. \nWhat is self-supported? \n\nNo support car\, water drops\, or outside support of any kind – it’s all up to you to get to the finish!\nIn other words\, riders must be fully self-sufficient and not receive any private assistance. All food\, lodging\, etc. must be commercially available to all riders.\n\nThere is no set route\, however\, there are seven unmanned checkpoints each rider must pass on their way to Meat Cove. Riders will receive the checkpoints 24-hours in advance of the start. They can plan their routes accordingly. Riders leave from The Hawk Beach\, Cape Sable Island at 08:00 August 2. \nThe rider manual will outline all the nitty-gritty stuff you should know about the event.

DESCRIPTION:On July 18th\, things heat up on the Nürburgring. Road cyclists\, mountain bikers\, racers and 24-hour cyclists… they can all let off steam on the Formula 1 asphalt today. It is recommended finding a place to watch near the start and finish stretches\, just a few meters from the stage and the Expo. \nStarting from 11:30 a.m. thousands of athletes will gather on the starting stretch for the Grand Départ. At half past noon\, the fast road riders first dash across the starting line to burn their races of 25\, 75 or 150 kilometers into the tarmac\, before the heart of the event is due around 12:50 p.m.: The 24-hour riders will be rolling the first meters of many\, many kilometers that still lie ahead of them. Accordingly\, the spectators can expect a mix of tension\, joy\, exuberance\, fighting spirit… in short: concentrated emotion that no cycling fan can escape of.
