DESCRIPTION:The Gimme 3 Gran Fondo is a cycling event hosted by the Laurens Police Department’s Bicycle Unit comprised of circuits on the flat\, smooth test tracks of the Michelin North America Proving Grounds. \nRacing will be entirely on the test tracks of the Michelin Proving Grounds which are closed to vehicles which are not support vehicles. All riders will begin with a 3.7 mile loop on the oval track 1 with the remainder of miles ridden on a 5.9 mile circuit which combines tracks 1 and 2. \nCombining no traffic with only 1\,500 feet of elevation gain over 104 miles\, this is the best opportunity in upstate South Carolina to set a century PR\, or complete your first century many will ever have. All while supporting the mission of the Laurens Police Department’s Bike Unit to “encourage and improve cycling.”

DESCRIPTION:The route leaves Kokernot Park and heads to Study Butte. Then it heads to Big Bend National Park taking in both the Ross Maxwell Scenic road and the Chisos Basin Climb. The route exits the park toward Marathon before heading back to Alpine. DESCRIPTION:The 1000 mile route immediately heads to Study Butte and then into Big Bend National Park. Racers will challenge the Ross Maxwell Scenic road and the spectacular Chisos Basin climb up to 6000′. After returning to Alpine the racers head to Marfa\, Ft. Davis and the challenging McDonald Obervatory loop before once again heading West to Marathon\, Sanderson\, Dryden\, Ft. Stockton and back to Marathon.
